Philip and the Ethiopian—Acts 8:26-39

This week you’ll learn about Philip and an Ethiopian man. Philip told the man about Jesus. You can tell others about Jesus too.

The gang at the Common Ground learns that although the ways we communicate with each other have changed drastically over time, we can still make an eternal difference in a person’s life by sharing the good news of Jesus with them.

This week you’ll learn about Peter and a man named Cornelius. In this story you will see that God’s salvation is for everyone!

You’ll have a truly international version of The B.I.G. Picture when different narrators, in a number of different languages, say Acts 16:31: “Have faith in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” (CEV).

The Sower—Luke 8:4-15

Jesus used stories to teach us. This week you will learn about a sower who tried to plant lots of seeds.

Will’s withering potted plant reminds him of the parable of the Sower and he compares the different growing conditions described in the parable to the different ways in which people cultivate God’s Word. But he goes on to explain how it is always possible for God’s Word to grow anew in our hearts.
